Is there really such a thing as plants that move?
Yes. Here are three of them.
Desmodium gyrans – Telegraph Plant – Moves with sunshine or warm touch.
Mimosa pudica – Sensitive Plant – Moves when touched or in response to heat and light.
Dionaea muscipula – Venus Fly Trap – Moves when it’s trap snaps shut.
The only other plant I know of that moves are sundews and I already have one named Sarah The Sundew.
To get this project started I bought a planters pride 10 peat pellet mini greenhouse seed starter.
The Plan is to plant:
3 Desmodium gyrans – Telegraph Plant seeds
3 Mimosa pudica – Sensitive Plant seeds
4 Dionaea muscipula – Venus Fly Trap seeds

Desmodium gyrans seeds require 12 hours of soaking in warm water.
Mimosa pudica seeds need soaking in hot water for 1/2 hour.
So I am going to start soaking the Desmodium gyrans seeds now.

Into the water they go.

I covered up the mini greenhouse and put an incandescent light bulb on it to keep it warm.

I will get them planted tomorrow.
