I tried to dig them back up but could not find them

so I am going to plant new seeds. Let’s have a look at them.

I replanted 5 of each of them.

There they all are.

I covered them up with good organic potting soil.

I gave them some water

but I am not going to put the clear plastic dome lids on them.

I think greenhouse effect was too hot and too humid last time around

and the seeds just rotted before they had a chance to germinate.

So I dug one back up and the scarification notch I filed in it’s outer

shell is clearly visible but it did not germinate.

I dug up the rest of them and again the scarification notch is

easy to see on all of them but no germination.

I planted them back in some potting soil

covered them up

and gave them some water.

I will see what happens.

Hey not bad compared to some of my other grow projects.

If you are looking for an easy to grow house plant you might try these hot peppers.

They seem to germinate and sprout pretty easy.

I am going to use miracle gro organic potting soil with some perlite in jiffy pots.

Here is a closer view of the organic potting soil.

I measured out four jiffy pots full of organic potting soil

and added two jiffy pots full of perlite.

Here it is mixed together. It looks just great and it nice and light and fluffy.

OK. Let’s plant the olive seeds.

That green teaspoon worked just perfect for picking up the soaked seeds.

There we go, all six seeds planted.

Now we cover them up with some more organic potting soil

and give them a drink of water.

Cover up the lid on the mini greenhouse and we are all set to go.

I hope filing a notch in the seed shells to scarify them works and they germinate quick.

I tried using a small pair of flat nosed pliers to do that and found it difficult

not to crush the whole seed.

So instead I used a file to scarify them by filing a notch in the outer shell.

This worked much better and was easy to do.

I am going to give them a good long soak over night in water with

superthrive, hydrogen peroxide and liquid organic fertilizer.

Here is a close up of the notch I filed in one of the olive seed shells.

I hope it is enough to let the water in and get them to germinate.
